Memorial Day Tribute 2012

with No Comments

One of the most magnificent memorial ceremonies I’ve been a part of was in Honolulu for the annual Lantern Floating Ceremony. If you wish to honor and pay tribute to those who have passed from this world, I highly recommend that you view the live webcast of this ceremony. My prayers and love are offered to all who have passed from this world, and especially to my first love, Brian Burdick, who was killed in service as a US Marine in Vietnam on December 19, 1968. It was Brian’s love that opened my heart to a profound spiritual journey and I’m deeply grateful to share it with you. My wishing prayer is that when we meet again it will be in a world without war, without guns and filled with the Light and Sound of the Divine Love.

The Lantern Floating Ceremony is on Monday, May 28 @ 6 pm HST with a live webcast. As the waters of the Pacific merge with each ocean to touch the shores of every continent around the globe, prayers and wishes for peace and the happiness of all are sent out from Hawaiʻi.

Every year on Memorial Day, tens-of-thousands of people gather on Oʻahu’s south shore joined by many from around the world via live streaming and telecast to honor those who have sacrificed their lives in war, for loved ones who have passed away and to generate hope toward a harmonious and peaceful future.

Let us all join in sending love and blessings to all beings and prayers for peace, prosperity and loving kindness.

From life in Maui, living among flowers and ocean breezes, to a more recent move to Lake Las Vegas, with its beautiful desert vistas and sunsets, the golden thread of Divine Spirit has guided my life. My journey has led me to spiritual masters, authentic friendships, encounters with death and healing, and more changes than most people could imagine for one lifetime. Listen to the wisdom of Rainer Maria Rilke, in “Letters to a Young Poet”: “Do not assume that he who seeks to comfort you now, lives untroubled among the simple and quiet words that sometimes do you good. His life may also have much sadness and difficulty that remains far beyond yours. Were it otherwise, he would never have been able to find these words.” Remember, a wellness coach can only take you as deep as their own journey has taken them. Transitioning through grief, loss, and change requires guidance from a mature and experienced Soul. Achieving optimal health is a worthy goal, no matter your age or current life situation. As you browse through our site, I invite your comments and welcome new friends and clients into my world. Ellen M. Laura
